the flag contains subtle symbols as a nod to Cleveland and Ohio history.

the “c”

The prominent “C” represents Cleveland at the heart of the design and the blue color of the “C” represents the Cuyahoga River, known as the “Crooked River.”.

the red stripe

The red stripe, created by the curve of the “C” and inset of the six-pointed star, nods to Cleveland’s Rust Belt heritage.
