giving back
reinvest in cleveland
The Cleveland Flag Project is driven by a simple mission: to give Cleveland a symbol of civic pride while directly reinvesting in our community. We’re proud to partner with both the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and the LGBTQ+ Community Center of Greater Cleveland, with a portion of proceeds from every flag and piece of merchandise going to support their vital work.
The Cleveland Flag design is licensed under Creative Commons Zero, meaning it’s free for anyone to use and share however they choose. Since its unveiling in March 2025, artists, makers, and local businesses have embraced the flag, incorporating it into t-shirts, patches, pennants, and more. Each creative partner also selects a local nonprofit to support—donating a portion of their sales to organizations making a real impact across Cleveland. Each non-profit introduced here is receiving support through Cleveland Flags designs and merchandise.
This list is growing every day!

About Us
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio having distributed more than 54 million pounds in FY2024 to just over 424,000 hungry people in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland and Richland counties. Our mission is working together to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. We do this through both food distribution and SNAP outreach efforts. The Food Bank continues to provide nutritious food to those in need while working to end hunger tomorrow through connecting clients to resources. About Us
Founded in 1913, the Cleveland Animal Protective League (Cleveland APL) is an independent, nonprofit humane society in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood dedicated to fostering compassion and ending animal suffering. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it operates entirely on donations and fundraising, with no government funding. Committed to 100% placement of all adoptable animals, the APL provides shelter and care for homeless, neglected, and stray animals, working tirelessly to find them loving homes. With a strong focus on advocacy, innovation, and community, the APL also runs programs like humane investigations, spay/neuter resources, and a community pet clinic. Through its core values of compassion, leadership, and inclusion, the Cleveland APL envisions a future where every animal is valued, protected, and cherished.
